Belle Greenwood
Belle’s retreat teaching style – Hatha Yoga, Restorative, Yoga Nidra
Qualified since 2003, Belle’s teaching is informed by her study and practice of Satyananda, Iyengar, Zen, Yin and Astanga traditions, all supporting her students to enjoy a sustainable, ever-deepening and integrated yoga practice.
Part French, Belle’s love of international travel and colourful cultures meant that leading retreats came naturally early on in her teaching career. She is also one of YOAS’ longest-standing teachers.
Her training in the classical teachings of asana, pranayama, mantra, mudra, meditation and yoga nidra continues to be a rich seam to mine, and Belle enjoys sharing the broad spectrum of yoga practices on retreat. She also brings her singer-songwriter hat to retreats through joyful mantra, music and singing.
Since 2006, Belle has been based at the beautiful studios and home of Siobhan Davies Contemporary Dance in London, where she continues to offer weekly classes, workshops and one-to-one yoga therapy.
Belle is a qualified yoga therapist and sound practitioner, using sound baths and voice work to support deep healing, joyful expression and release. A singer-songwriter, she regularly performs with her band. Daily mantra has also been at the heart of her Buddhist practice since 2002.
