Enjoy energising and restorative yoga, delicious seasonal food, wild swimming and plenty of time to slow down and unwind in the beautiful surroundings of West Lexham. With woodland, gardens and a lake to explore, and the sweeping beaches of the North Norfolk coast within easy reach, it’s a wonderful setting for a few days away.

About West Lexham

West Lexham is a beautiful country estate set within 22 acres of peaceful Norfolk countryside. Surrounded by woodland, gardens and water, it has a wonderfully secluded feel and plenty of space to wander, swim or simply find a quiet spot to relax.

The heart of the retreat is a beautifully converted heritage barn, providing a light and airy space for yoga, dining and gathering. Stylish en-suite bedrooms are set around a pretty courtyard, while outside there are gardens, woodland walks, a naturally filtered swimming pool and a lake for wild swimming.

The wide sandy beaches and pretty villages of the North Norfolk coast are also within easy reach.

Retreat programme

The retreat will begin on Friday evening with a welcome class followed by a delicious dinner. Kate will then lead you through two classes on the Saturday in the beautiful barn shala. She will offer an uplifting, dynamic morning class to align body and breath, followed by breakfast.

During the day there will be plenty of time for walks, massage treatments, a trip to the beach or simply curling up with a good book. There will be a delicious healthy lunch and the group will meet again in the late afternoon for a more restorative practice to delve deeper into the postures. In the evening the group will gather again for dinner in the barn and chats around the fire pit.

Arrival time on Friday 18 June will be from 4pm. Departure on Sunday 20 June will be at midday, after energising morning yoga, a nourishing brunch and perhaps a final dip in the lake.

Things to do

West Lexham is surrounded by peaceful countryside, perfect for walking and exploring, while the sweeping sandy beaches of Holkham and Brancaster are within easy reach for those wanting some sea air.

There is a naturally filtered outdoor swimming pool, as well as the lake for those who fancy a refreshing wild swim. Massage treatments will also be available over the weekend.

Or simply find a quiet corner, curl up with a good book and enjoy having nowhere else to be.

Accommodation & food

West Lexham offers unique, beautiful and very comfortable accommodation with a mix of single, twin and double rooms.

The luxurious bedrooms are all en-suite and set around a courtyard adjacent to the yoga barn. All have underfloor heating and huge windows which flood the rooms with natural light. They combine rustic charm with modern twists.

Delicious, healthy meals will be served throughout the retreat, with seasonal vegetarian dishes using organic vegetables, fruit, flowers and herbs picked from the West Lexham gardens.
