About Itha108

Itha108 is a Greek island retreat set in a place of outstanding natural beauty, providing a space specifically for peace, relaxation and practice. Located on the island of Ithaca, which lies between the mainland of Greece and Kefalonia. This small island charms visitors with its lush greenery, pristine beaches, mythical history and uniquely peaceful energy.

Itha108 overlooks the sea and the eastern coastline of neighbouring Kefalonia from an elevated wilderness of olive trees and exposed rocks that provide the elements around which it is built, allowing its natural beauty to speak for itself. An emphasis on indoor-outdoor living ensures full use of the land and its treasures that extend to sweeping and hidden beaches below.

Retreat programme

Amy will offer two classes each day. The daily sessions will focus on movement, breath and relaxation to enhance your awareness of alignment and inner connection.

The day will begin with a flowing and dynamic asana class on the outdoor platform overlooking the sea. The group will meet again in the early evening for a more relaxing and restorative class before dinner.

Classes will be suitable for all abilities and there will be one yoga free day.

Things to do

In between the morning and afternoon yoga classes you can walk to one of three beautiful beaches, all just five minutes away by foot. Spend your time soaking up the sun and swimming in the sea or take an excursion to Kioni or Vathy - one of the picturesque island villages for shopping and cafes. There is also the opportunity for a guided island hike or you can simply relax by the pool at Itha108 - read, relax, take a massage.

Accommodation & food

Food at Itha108 is fresh, delicious and made only from local produce. All vegetables are organic and sourced from the best of what the Islands of Ithaca and neighbouring Kefalonia have to offer. Plentiful, home-cooked menus blend traditional Mediterranean cuisine with a contemporary style. All meals are vegetarian.

Itha108 offers stunning accommodation, decorated with furnishings from Rajasthan, India, as well as Greece. There are suites, bedrooms, a cave house and Mongolian yurts to choose from.

The luxurious suites are located on the first floor of the main house. One offers a double room with en-suite bathroom, dressing room and a large terrace. The other twin beds or a double with an en-suite bathroom and balcony overlooking the sea. Bedrooms on the ground floor have private bathrooms, mosquito nets and sea views. All suites and rooms in the main house have air-conditioning.

The cave house is a beautiful secluded room that has been built into the rock. It has a double and single bed, en-suite bathroom and large, private outside space for relaxation.

Two luxury Mongolian yurts are set on platforms, high among the rocks and trees, with sea views. The yurts are light and airy with standing fans, mosquito nets and en-suite bathrooms.

Client Reviews

It was a FANTASTIC week with Amy. Just magical - her teaching, her love and care towards all of us, the way she mixes everything up with the practice, music, essential oils, sage and spiritual words of wisdom etc...made the whole experience quite hypnotic. She is a one-of-a-kind teacher. Amy also brought such a sense of fun and joy to the retreat and many of us also had moments of tears through the sheer beauty of it all.

Thanks for organising a wonderful retreat for the group. It was really perfect and Amy was fabulous, she curated some lovely yoga sessions and the whole week was nourishing, relaxing and restorative.
Hannah
The retreat was just absolute bliss! Itha108 really is a special place. Food was also a great part, Hanna is a very gifted chef and all the meals were incredibly delicious. It’s difficult to say what the highlight was, I enjoyed every single moment of it and I now feel like Odysseus: can’t wait to go back. Thanks for organising such a wonderful retreat.

Here are a selection of websites for flights to Kefalonia:-
www.easyjet.com
www.ryanair.com
www.tui.co.uk

Return taxi and boat transfers from Kefalonia airport to Itha108 on Ithaca are included if you arrive and depart to work with the times specified below.

The group transfer to Ithaca on Saturday 12 July will depart Kefalonia airport at approx 2:30pm
The return group transfer from Itha108 on Saturday 19 July will depart at approx 9.00am

The journey involves 2 taxi/minibuses and one boat and takes between 2 and 2.5 hours.

If you are unable to arrive in time for the free group transfer, consider arriving on Kefalonia a day early before the retreat or spending an extra night on Kefalonia on your way home from the retreat.

Ithaca is a remote island and the transfer to the island from Kefalonia can be complicated. For this reason, we recommend that everyone tries to make the group transfer time for both arrival and departure and plan their flights accordingly around the group transfer time.

If you need to arrive or depart earlier or later than these departure times, we can help you organise your land and water taxis. Please be aware though that a private transfer can cost up to 200 Euros or more (This is an estimate when using a private water taxi, the cost can be significantly less if you are able to take the public water taxi, but this is not an option if you have a late evening arrival or very early morning departure).
