We are so happy to be returning for the 12th year to celebrate New Year in this idyllic setting.
West Lexham Manor is a thriving country manor estate in Norfolk with a wonderfully bohemian vibe, set around a lake with beautiful gardens, woodland and only 30 minutes drive from the sea.
Join us for a new year celebration of love, life and friendship. Come on your own or with your friends, either way you're guaranteed to have a great time and begin 2024 with a clear mind, an open heart and a rejuvenated spirit!
Retreat programme
West Lexham offers plenty of space for a gathering of 40 yogis with two wonderful yoga teachers, Sunita Devi and Tania Brown leading the retreat and two separate yoga spaces, a stunning converted barn with underfloor heating and a charming village hall with wooden floors and an open fire.
Arrival time on Friday 29 December 2023 is from 4pm and the first yoga class will be at 5pm. The retreat will finish after brunch on New Year's day 2024.
Each morning there will be a yoga class followed by a delicious breakfast with free time and lunch to follow. We will then meet again in the afternoon for another yoga practice. For each practice you will be able to choose between a more challenging dynamic practice or something more gentle and restorative, as you feel. Each evening there will be dinner followed by a candlelit meditation.
For New Year's Eve there will be a delicious celebratory dinner, celebrations and mulled wine around the bonfire.
Things to do
The retreat will be an opportunity for you to be in company with old friends or making new. If you prefer it will offer the chance to have some quiet time, space and reflection - it's your choice, alongside a morning and evening programme of yoga, pranayama, meditation and celebration.
West Lexham is perfectly situated for long country walks or you can take a short drive to the sweeping sandy beaches of Holkham and Brancaster for some sea air.
The property is set around a lake, perfect for a walk or a New Year's morning dip. Massage treatments will be on offer throughout the retreat. Or you can simply curl up in front of the fire with a good book.
Accommodation & food
West Lexham offers unique, beautiful and very comfortable accommodation with a mix of single, twin and double rooms, charming cabins and amazing treehouses.
There are luxurious en-suite rooms set around a courtyard adjacent to the yoga barn. All have underfloor heating and huge windows which flood the rooms with natural light. They combine rustic charm with funky modern twists.
Charming and cosy traditional flint cottages are also part of the estate. All cottage rooms offer luxury chic interiors with twin or double bedrooms, most are en-suite, 2 rooms share a bathroom.
There are also stunning fully heated luxury treehouses of varying sizes and magical wooden cabins set around the lake. Some en suite and others sharing the high quality garden washroom facilities closeby.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required on booking and the balance is due 6 weeks before you travel.
Travel Arrangements
West Lexham is situated in Norfolk to the east of Kings Lynn. The nearest town is Swaffham, to the South. It is about 2 hours from London by car and close to rail and coach stops.
Arrival time on Friday 29 December 2023 is from 4pm and the first yoga class will be at 5pm. The retreat will finish after brunch on New Year's day 2024. We will put people in touch with each other for lift sharing.
If you are coming by train from London the most direct journey by train is from King's Cross to Downham Market. Unfortunately there are bus replacement services for the journey so it is longer than usual.
We recommend you take the 12.12 train arriving at 15.06. From here you can share a taxi with others. The journey from Downham Market to West Lexham Manor takes 40 minutes by car and costs around £35.
For the return we recommend the train departing Downham Market at 12.14 on 1 January.
