About Sri Devi Retreat

Immerse yourself deeply and open up to new possibilities through your breath, body and soul on an uplifting and sun-filled adventure in Sri Lanka.

Sri Devi is situated on the southern coast of Sri Lanka, a coastline dotted with tea plantations, Buddhist temples and stunning beaches with unforgettable sunsets. This luxurious and spacious retreat is hidden away, overlooking paddy fields with the sounds of wildlife and the occasional chanting of monks in the far distance. The turquoise blue sea and the city of Galle are just a short tuk tuk ride away.

The retreat centre has over 2.5 acres of tropical garden with a large pool, a spa and both an indoor and an outdoor covered lounge area. The outdoor yoga space is covered and close to the paddy fields, amongst the wildlife.

Retreat programme

There will be two yoga classes with Emma each day. Each morning will begin with a dynamic flowing yoga practice, opening the body and attuning the mind to the breath.

After the morning session there will be an abundance of fruits and a healthy and filling breakfast. There will be several hours in the day to yourself, where you can head off to one of the nearby sandy beaches, take a treatment with a therapist, a ride to the nearby shops, cafes and restaurants or simply relax by the pool.

The group will meet again in the late afternoon for a more gentle and restorative practice dedicated to nourishing yourself, including restorative postures, meditation and yoga nidra.

The retreat begins on Sunday 16 March at 7pm with a welcome meal. The last class will be on the evening of Saturday 22 March followed by a farewell meal. Five evening meals are included, leaving two nights free for dining out. There's no yoga on travel days and there will be one yoga free day during the week when you can explore or take one of the excursions offered.

Things to do
