About Pauntley Court
Set in stunning countryside, just two hours from London and only one hour from Bristol and Birmingham, Pauntley Court offers a tranquil escape.
Steeped in history dating back to the 1300s, it is the birthplace of Dick Whittington and was home to Elinor Fettiplace. The house is full of character and offers luxury accommodation and exquisite gardens with far reaching views across the surrounding countryside.
The first class will be on Friday evening, followed by a delicious dinner. Amelia will then lead you through two classes on the Saturday, a more dynamic morning class to align to body and breath and an afternoon practice to delve deeper into the postures and relax and restore. On Sunday there will be a morning practice before breakfast, another shorter class before lunch and the end of the retreat.
Each day after morning yoga and a healthy breakfast, there will be the opportunity to walk, enjoy the beautiful grounds, have a massage or relax in one of the comfy lounges.
Arrival time on Friday 21 October is from 4pm onwards. The first yoga session will be at 5.30pm. The weekend will finish on Sunday 23 October after lunch at 2pm.
Things to do
The surrounding area is perfect for a long country walk or if you fancy exploring further afield you can take a trip to Gloucester's historic cathedral and docks or add a day of walking in the Malvern Hills. There will be massages on offer in the free time and comfy sofas where you can curl up with a good book.

The trip was fantastic. Amelia is a brilliant teacher who brought incredible warmth, good humour and understanding to each class. The food was an absolute highlight, such care and love went into every dish and Elsbeth was working around the clock. The location was beautiful, comfortable, and calm and the group had a wonderful dynamic. Overall I've come back thoroughly cleansed, calm, and inspired.Claire
Pauntley Court is a stunning venue and the kind of place you feel relaxed as soon as you walk in there. The rooms were amazing with lovely views and the house has a lovely cosy feel to it. That combined with Amelia's yoga and extra evening meditation and relaxation sessions made for a very relaxing and recharging weekend.Emma
