About Pauntley Court
Set in stunning countryside, just two to three hours from London and only one hour from Bristol and Birmingham, Pauntley Court offers a tranquil escape.
Steeped in history dating back to the 1300's, it is the birthplace of Dick Whittington and was home to Elinor Fettiplace. The house is full of character and offers luxury accommodation and exquisite gardens with far reaching views across the surrounding countryside.
The first class will be on Friday evening, followed by a delicious dinner. Jess will then lead you through two classes on the Saturday, a more dynamic morning class to align to body and breath and an afternoon practice to delve deeper into the postures and relax and restore.
On Sunday there will be morning practices, breakfast and lunch and plenty of time in between for relaxation and walks.
Arrival time on Friday 1 November is from 4pm onwards. The first yoga session will be at 5.30pm. The weekend will finish on Sunday 3 November after lunch at 2pm.
Things to do
The surrounding area is perfect for a long country walk or if you fancy exploring further afield you can take a trip to Gloucester's historic cathedral and docks or add a day of walking in the Malvern Hills. There will be massages on offer in the free time and comfy sofas where you can curl up with a good book.
Accommodation & food
The luxurious rooms are spacious, light and offer an extremely comfortable haven to relax and rest in. All rooms are very well appointed and are either en-suite or have their own private bathroom. Two rooms share a bathroom.
Delicious healthy food will be served throughout the retreat. All meals will be vegetarian delights to nourish body and soul.
I really loved the weekend. The house was beautiful: impressive yet relaxing, we were made to feel thoroughly at home, with deep sofas and huge open fires. It was encouraging to be just given the run of the house and grounds, just as if we really lived there! The yoga was amazing. Jess was very knowledgeable, weaving in great wisdom and care into the practices. Over the course of the weekend she gave us practices that could be very challenging, some that were fast and energetic, others very slow and powerful and yet others that were deeply relaxing.Sarah
I absolutely loved every minute! From the gorgeous yoga and soundbaths, to the peaceful surroundings, the lovely people and delicious food. My first ever yoga retreat and I will definitely be back for more!Alisa
A weekend spent in beautiful accommodation and surroundings, with lovely, like minded people, such a treat. A shout out to the Chef/kitchen staff for the tasty food they produced which was scrummy. A huge thank you to Jess whose Yoga classes and tuition was absolutely incredible. What an amazing lady. This was my first yoga retreat and has been on my bucket list for years!! Needless to say, it certainly won't be my last.Denise
