BOOK NOWAbout Olea
Olea (formerly In Sabina), is an elegant and breathtaking retreat centre nestled in the tranquil Sabina countryside near Rome. Two beautifully restored farmhouses seamlessly blending rustic Italian charm with modern comfort.
Less than an hour north of Rome, Olea lies in the midst of the untouched Italian countryside. The peaceful property offers a pool, tranquil gardens amongst olive groves, and a stunning yoga platform with panoramic views.
The perfect location for relaxation and rejuvenation, nature walks and stunning sunsets.
Retreat programme
The yoga practice will be held outdoors on the magnificent wooden yoga platform overlooking the lush valley, or in the serene and tranquil indoor yoga space with views over the hills and vales.
The day will begin with a dynamic flowing morning yoga class suitable for all levels, followed by breakfast on the terrace. Practice will include meditation and asana focusing on breath and alignment. After the morning session there will be time for massage, relaxing by the pool, swimming or a visit to the local village.
The group will meet again in the late afternoon for a more relaxing and restorative class. There will be one yoga free day and no yoga on travel days.
Olea's chef will create Mediterranean vegetarian dishes, locally sourced with an Italian touch for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On one evening there will be dinner out at a local restaurant or winery.
Things to do
One could quite easily while away a week of deep rest and rejuvenation here. Relaxing by the swimming pool, having a massage treatment, finding a quiet secluded spot with a good book, or taking a walk in the stunning natural surroundings.
There are nice walks from the house and even better ones just a short drive away. The Farfa River hike is popular in the summer months and perfect for cooling off.
The area is rich in sites of historic and natural beauty. The charming medieval hilltop village of Casperia is closeby and the culturally rich hill town of Orvieto is just an hour away. On one evening there will be dinner out at a local restaurant or winery

Travel Arrangements
It is best to take a flight arriving into Rome Fumicino airport between 12 midday and 3pm for a group transfer around 3.30pm (or a little earlier depending on group arrival times).
Rome has two airports: Leonardo da Vinci (Fumicino) and Ciampino. Leonardo da Vinci (Fumicino) is the best option for the shared group transfer. From Ciampino it is best to take the train.
There are many airlines that fly to Rome direct including Easyjet, Ryanair and BA.

Transfers
We recommend that you join the minibus transfer from Leonardo da Vinci (Fumicino) airport which will be arranged to bring you directly to Olea. The price is very reasonable (and quick as it takes only 1 hours and 15 minutes) and in many cases costs less than taking the train - the exact price depends on the numbers.
Departure from Olea is by 10am on 25 July. A group departure transfer will be arranged to align with this or earlier if needed.
Trains
If you prefer to take a train the closest station to Olea is Stimigliano. A taxi from Stimigliano station costs about €30 (for up to 3 people with little luggage). To check train times, see www.ferroviedellostato.it
There is no direct train from Ciampino Airport to Stimigliano Station.
