About Douar Noujoum
Douar Noujoum is an oasis of peace set in Essaouira, a bohemian haven on the coast of Morocco. Located just 7km from the sweeping sandy beaches and 15km from the historical walled Medina with views of the ocean.
At the heart of the property a cascade of pure water feeds the natural swimming pool surrounded by peaceful gardens filled with colourful dragonflies, butterflies and peacocks that roam freely. Douar Noujoum has been created as a place dedicated to wellbeing and you can feel the calm energy from the moment you arrive.
Retreat programme
There will be a yoga class each morning and evening in the light and airy practice room with wooden floors and a terrace with views of the countryside.
Each morning will begin with a yoga class which will include meditation and movement focused on asanas, attuning the mind to the breath. The evening class will be more gentle and restorative. Classes will be progressive and inclusive for all levels. There will be one yoga free day and dinner out that evening. There will be no yoga on travel days.
Things to do
Whilst staying at Douar Noujoum you can simply relax in peaceful nature by the pool or you can explore the cultural delights of Essaouira. The historical walled Medina with views of the ocean, the colourful souks, the buskers in the main square, the traditional fishing port with the famous blue boats.
Nature lovers can explore the long sweeping sandy beaches on foot, horse back or ride a camel. There's also a spa with a traditional hammam and local therapists offering treatments.
Accommodation & food
A range of bedrooms and suites are available at Douar Noujoum. Most have en-suite bathrooms curtained off from the main bedroom. Some are more affordable with shared bathroom facilities between two rooms. All have comfortable beds and colourful furnishings.
The meals at Douar Noujoum are all included apart from dinner one evening. There will be a delicious buffet breakfast and lunch and a traditional Moroccan dinner, with vegetarian options catered for on request.

Cost includes:
Accommodation, breakfast, lunch, and dinner apart from one evening when dinner is out.
Two yoga classes per day with one yoga free day.
Free group airport transfer for arrival on 18 May and departure on 25 May are included for specified times to and from Marrakech airport.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required on booking and the balance is due 6 weeks before you travel.
Travel Arrangements
Free group transfers to and from Marrakech airport are included if you arrive and depart to work with the specified times below:
There will be two group transfer options for arrival on 18 May. The first will depart Marrakech airport at around 12 midday and the second at around 18.30.
The return group transfer on 25 May will depart Douar Noujoum at 10am.
The journey will take about 3 hours and will include a comfort break along the way where you can purchase refreshments.
If you arrive at a different time individual transfers can be arranged at a cost. A taxi from Marrakech airport to Essaouira costs 900 MAD. There will be no yoga on travel days.
