About 42 Acres

We head to the luxurious setting of the 42 Acres retreat space near Frome in Somerset for a magical autumn weekend of yoga. A wonderful opportunity to revitalise in nature and enjoy reconnecting with yourself and others.

Set in 42 acres of private land, this beautiful retreat space is encircled by seven hundred acres of ancient forest. Sustainability and comfort are at the forefront of the 42 acres vision, with reclaimed materials used to outfit the interiors of the property, plus all of the power is renewable and self generated through biomass and solar.

The daily programme

A wonderful opportunity for you to relax your mind, rejuvenate your body and reawaken your spirit. You will enjoy yoga classes which focus on movement, breath and relaxation.

The day will begin with a strong and dynamic asana class in the light, warm and airy yurt yoga space. After the morning session breakfast will be served. During the day there will be plenty of time for walks, massage treatments or curling up with a good book. There will be a delicious healthy lunch and the group will meet again in the late afternoon for a relaxing and restorative class.

Meditation and yoga philosophy will be woven into the classes. During the time together we will use the restorative power of prana, readings, asana and mantra to send you back into the world more open, receptive and ready for change.

Client Reviews

42 Acres is a magical haven. The unobtrusively cool interior design is in a league of its own and absolutely bang up-to-date, and yet, this beautiful home still retains its connection to the past. The setting is 42 acres of glorious nature, gorgeous English farmland, bounded by ancient meadows and forests. I experienced one of the most magical weekends at 42 acres and this place will forever be in my heart. I can't recommend it enough.
I love Annie’s restorative classes because I always leave feeling calmer, stronger and inspired. The pace is pitch perfect, moving slowly into poses with variations and options shared and embraced and with each posture Annie explains its purpose and meaning. Annie has a beautiful style, balancing sound, words, wisdom and touch perfectly. It is in her classes that I remember how to breathe and be kind to myself.

Will is an incredible yoga teacher, but I knew that already from attending his classes in London. He created a warm and inclusive atmosphere; the perfect environment for a yoga retreat. Will alternated between dynamic, upbeat classes in the morning to more restorative, yin-style classes in the evening which was the perfect combination. I came away feeling completely relaxed, revived and with a deeper understanding of yoga.
Melissa
I cannot thank you enough for such a wonderful retreat at 42 Acres, I had such a lovely, peaceful time. Everything was absolutely wonderful: the food, the location, the classes, the massages and the people. I left feeling thoroughly rejuvenated and really inspired to explore yoga more.’
Alice
Will is an outstanding yoga teacher who brings such positive energy to the practice – funny, enthusiastic with a wealth of knowledge, able to help advance individuals at any level of yoga.
Fatima
Annie’s restorative class can be defined in one word: perfect. She creates a mystical atmosphere with candles and incense that takes you to a higher level of relaxation. The slow-paced sequence combined with the greatest selection of poems and readings makes your body and soul fully relax and restore, so you end the class with plenty of positive thoughts and energy.
