About Pauntley Court
Set in stunning countryside, just two hours from London and only one hour from Bristol and Birmingham, Pauntley Court offers a tranquil escape.
Steeped in history dating back to the 1300's, it is the birthplace of Dick Whittington and was home to Elinor Fettiplace. The house is full of character and offers luxury accommodation and exquisite gardens with far reaching views across the surrounding countryside.
The first class will be on Friday evening, followed by a delicious dinner. Emma will then lead you through two classes on the Saturday, a more dynamic morning class to align to body and breath and an afternoon practice to delve deeper into the postures and relax and restore.
On Sunday there will be morning practices, breakfast and lunch and plenty of time in between for relaxation and walks.
Arrival time on Friday 9 February is from 4pm onwards. The first yoga session will be at 5.30pm. The weekend will finish on Sunday 11 February after lunch at 2pm.
Things to do
The surrounding area is perfect for a long country walk or if you fancy exploring further afield you can take a trip to Gloucester's historic cathedral and docks or add a day of walking in the Malvern Hills. There will be massages on offer in the free time and comfy sofas where you can curl up with a good book.
Accommodation & food
The luxurious rooms are spacious, light and offer an extremely comfortable haven to relax and rest in. All rooms are very well appointed and are either en-suite or have their own private bathroom. Two rooms share a bathroom.
Delicious healthy food will be served throughout the retreat. All meals will be vegetarian delights to nourish body and soul.
I had a really wonderful weekend - truly nourishing, wholly inspirational and a lot of fun too. It's a beautiful venue, there was delicious food for every meal, a really super group of like-minded spirits, a great massage and an awesome teacher.Pat
It was great! Emma is an excellent teacher and really embraces the spirit of yoga. She was thoughtful and helpful, and would always give options for the more difficult poses. The classes were interesting and challenging in part, which is the way it should be!Roger
Emma was a fabulous teacher and created a lovely welcoming and inclusive atmosphere from the start. I am missing the yoga nidra now I’m back home! I would happily go back and join other retreats where Emma is teaching.Charlie
