About Lagoon Retreat

Set in an elevated position, Lagoon Retreat is surrounded by a forested conservation area overlooking the Sülüngür Lagoon with spectacular views across the beautiful Dalyan delta and Istuzu beach.

The utter peace and privacy of the venue, immersed in nature, creates an idyllic setting for a yoga retreat where you can forest bathe, inhale the vital prana and tune into the birdsong and hum of cicadas.

Retreat programme

Each day will begin with a morning yoga class in the fully equipped yoga shala, set on a hill with views of the surrounding forest and mountains.

The class will include meditation, pranayama and an energising morning flow to gently open the body and attune the mind to the breath. The classes will be suitable for all levels and yoga experience.

Between classes you can simply relax by the pool or head out and explore the stunning beauty of the surroundings. The afternoon class will be a more gentle and restorative class, to delve deeper into the postures.

Classes will begin on the morning of Sunday 19 July and there will be one yoga-free day during the week and no yoga on travel days.

Things to do

A short bus or taxi ride from the local traditional village will take you to Istuzu, a long, sandy beach in the conservation area where loggerhead turtles come to lay their eggs. Or just a 15 minute walk through the forest brings you to a private beach on the lagoon.

A 10 minute taxi ride from the village in the opposite direction will bring you to the charming riverside town of Dalyan with its shops and restaurants.

Visits to nearby ruins of ancient Caunos, mud baths, boat trips and other excursions, including off the beaten track, can be arranged if you want to explore.

Accommodation & food

The comfortable and well appointed ensuite bedrooms are suitable for single, double, twin or triple accommodation. All are different. Some have balconies and other terraces with lovely forest views. All have air conditioning.

Delicious breakfast and dinner are included. There will also be ingredients for help-yourself light lunches and unlimited fruit, water, teas and coffee are included.

Inexpensive lunches are also available a short walk away in charming little eateries in the local village or Dalyan.

Client Reviews

I thoroughly enjoyed Ceri's warm and engaging teaching style. Over the course of the week Ceri carefully guided us through the postures, meditation and chakras and I felt fully informed and supported at all moments, owing to Ceri's deep knowledge, understanding and generous sharing of the teachings. We also had lots of fun with plenty of belly-laugh moments!
