About Pauntley Court
Set in stunning countryside, just two to three hours from London and only one hour from Bristol and Birmingham, Pauntley Court offers a tranquil escape.
Steeped in history dating back to the 1300's, it is the birthplace of Dick Whittington and was home to Elinor Fettiplace. The house is full of character and offers luxury accommodation and exquisite gardens with far reaching views across the surrounding countryside.
The first class will be on Friday evening, followed by a delicious dinner. Raquel will then lead you through two classes on the Saturday, a more dynamic morning class to align to body and breath and an afternoon practice to delve deeper into the postures and relax and restore.
On Sunday there will be morning practices, breakfast and lunch and plenty of time in between for relaxation and walks.
Arrival time on Friday 18 October is from 4pm onwards. The first yoga session will be at 5.30pm. The weekend will finish on Sunday 20 October after lunch at 2pm.
Things to do
The surrounding area is perfect for a long country walk or if you fancy exploring further afield you can take a trip to Gloucester's historic cathedral and docks or add a day of walking in the Malvern Hills. There will be massages on offer in the free time and comfy sofas where you can curl up with a good book.
Accommodation & food
The luxurious rooms are spacious, light and offer an extremely comfortable haven to relax and rest in. All rooms are very well appointed and are either en-suite or have their own private bathroom. Two rooms share a bathroom.
Delicious healthy food will be served throughout the retreat. All meals will be vegetarian delights to nourish body and soul.
It was all excellent. Raquel's teaching is fun, educational and therapeutic. The venue was magical. The food was some of the best I have ever eaten.Jane
This was my first ever Yoga retreat and it exceeded all expectations. I can’t think of a single thing that could have been better - from the beautiful house and grounds which were so quiet and spacious, to the wonderful food, and of course the yoga with Raquel. The sessions were inspiring, informative, fun, moving and thoughtful. I loved every minute.Hannah
Thank you - a really lovely weekend in the company of the inspiring and expert Raquel. The venue was sublime and the food even better (if that's possible!?).Catrin
