About Pauntley Court
Set in stunning countryside, just two hours from London and only one hour from Bristol and Birmingham, Pauntley Court offers a tranquil escape.
Steeped in history dating back to the 1300's, it is the birthplace of Dick Whittington and was home to Elinor Fettiplace. The house is full of character and offers luxury accommodation and exquisite gardens with far reaching views across the surrounding countryside.
The first class will be on Friday evening, followed by a delicious dinner. Amelia will then lead you through two classes on the Saturday, a more dynamic morning class to align to body and breath and an afternoon practice to delve deeper into the postures and relax and restore.
On Sunday there will be morning practices, breakfast and lunch and plenty of time in between for relaxation and walks.
Arrival time on Friday 24 March is from 4pm onwards. The first yoga session will be at 5.30pm. The weekend will finish on Sunday 26 March after lunch at 2pm.
Things to do
The surrounding area is perfect for a long country walk or if you fancy exploring further afield you can take a trip to Gloucester's historic cathedral and docks or add a day of walking in the Malvern Hills. There will be massages on offer in the free time and comfy sofas where you can curl up with a good book.
Accommodation & food
The luxurious rooms are spacious, light and offer an extremely comfortable haven to relax and rest in. All rooms are very well appointed and most are either en-suite or have their own private bathroom. Two rooms share a bathroom.
Delicious healthy food will be served throughout the retreat. All meals will be vegetarian delights to nourish body and soul.
Most amazing weekend ever . . . Amelia was amazing. Rahel and Hannah (the chefs) were also amazing.Emma
I cannot describe how amazing the retreat was! From Amelia being such a fantastic teacher and person, the magnificent venue, to the incredible food prepared by the lovely chef and her daughter! I had no idea what to expect as it was my first retreat but it honestly surpassed my expectations. Spending the weekend with such a lovely bunch of yogis was great and having time to relax and recharge in such fabulous surroundings. I think I have been spoiled for all other retreats.Kerry
Amelia is a fantastic teacher. She engages a group really well and her instructions are second to none and I have had many yoga teachers over the years. She is also such a lovely person. The venue is amazing and I will definitely return. The food was delicious and the chefs were delightful.Zoe
