Bonhays is a beautiful eco-retreat centre, nestled in the hills of West Dorset, between Bridport and Lyme Regis and just two miles from the sea. The setting is secluded and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Set around a central courtyard with the soft curves of the straw buildings and the hills beyond, there is quiet and stillness here. Bonhays has lovely communal areas to relax and chat in as well as many peaceful and secluded spots for quiet and reflection. There is also an indoor heated swimming pool.
The coast and beaches are just two miles away if you want to get a dose of sea air and enjoy a beach walk or you may simply want to enjoy a peaceful moment on the decking and watch the sunset, swim peacefully in the pool, share wonderful meals in the conservatory, practice yoga and meditation; be and rejuvenate.
There will be a yoga class with Catherine on Friday evening and yoga nidra after dinner. On Saturday there will be two yoga classes, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon, which will include meditation and breathwork. There will also be plenty of time to walk, rest, relax or take a dip in the pool or even the sea. There will be a yoga class on Sunday morning before brunch and goodbyes.

Single, shared twin or double rooms are available. Bathrooms, shower and toilet facilities are shared.
There is also a charming shepherd's hut set in a quiet corner looking up the Marshwood Valley and a magical little house tucked away in the woods. The little house also has a small kitchen area and its own shower and toilet.
Camping with your own tent or camper van is also an option.
The chef at Bonhays sources local ingredients and produces healthy and delicious vegetarian lunch and dinner. Supplies are provided for breakfast and this is prepared by the group.
This was my first yoga retreat and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction! Catherine’s teaching was rich, clear and considered. I really appreciated working at a slower pace and have come away with a far greater body awareness, particularly in relation to my spine and diaphragm. Bonhays was a beautiful venue and staying in their shepherd’s hut was the icing on the cake.Kamina
The retreat at Bonhays with Catherine was wonderful! I found it restorative and inspiring - Catherine was an amazing facilitator! Catherine had an open approach, asking lots of questions and involving us all. She guided and stimulated us all. I think after these few days I will think more about my practice and my body. Catherine was also warm and friendly and had a great sense of humour.Sasha
