About Bonhays Retreat Centre
Bonhays is a beautiful eco-retreat centre, nestled in the hills of West Dorset, between Bridport and Lyme Regis and just two miles from the sea. The setting is secluded and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Set around a central courtyard with the soft curves of the straw buildings and the hills beyond, there is quiet and stillness here. Bonhays has lovely communal areas to relax and chat in as well as many peaceful and secluded spots for quiet and reflection. There is also an indoor heated swimming pool.
The coast and beaches are just two miles away if you want to get a dose of sea air and enjoy a beach walk or you may simply want to enjoy a peaceful moment on the decking and watch the sunset, swim peacefully in the pool, share wonderful meals in the conservatory, practice yoga and meditation; be and rejuvenate.
The chef at Bonhays, sources organic ingredients locally and produces lovely looking, healthy and very tasty food. All the food is vegetarian.
The daily programme
There will be a yoga class with Rory on Friday evening and meditation after dinner. On Saturday there will be two yoga classes, plus plenty of time to walk, rest, relax or take a dip in the pool or even the sea. There will be a yoga class on Sunday morning before lunch and goodbyes.
There are plenty of lovely walks, local beaches to visit and ample space to simply relax.
Accommodation at Bonhays

There is also a charming shepherd's hut set in a quiet corner looking up the Marshwood Valley and a magical little house tucked away in the woods. The little house also has a small kitchen area and its own shower and toilet.
Camping with your own tent or camper van is also an option.
I had a wonderful weekend! Everything was perfect. My accommodation in the shepherd's hut was cosy and quirky and felt like a complete treat. I was just so happy to be looked after, in a lovely setting and introduced for the first time to the concept of a relaxing yoga break.Harriet

I've just had a really wonderful experience on retreat with Rory Viggers. Rory is such a gift of a teacher! We all felt incredibly lucky to have been taught by him. His total commitment to yoga is exemplary and underpinned the classes, and entire time, with consistent integrity. His classes are imbued with those qualities and with the utmost care to prepare the body and mind and spirit to receive from and give to the practice. On a personal note, I came to the weekend with a complaining lower back that had been troubling me for months. It was soothed and resolved after the first class. This was also the case for another participant I later discovered. I mention this because it is evidence of the understanding and skill that Rory has. As you can tell, I'm very grateful...and I thank you very much.Lucie
Excellent yoga retreat with Rory Viggers. Learned so many new things, plus the venue and food were lovely.Riki
