BOOK NOWAbout Amassa
Amassa is a private hamlet tucked away in rural South West France, just an hour from Toulouse. A collection of beautifully renovated old stone cottages and barns, surrounded by peaceful countryside and charming local towns where the pace of life is slower.
This calm and restful place is an idyllic setting for people to come together to pause and be curious. A place that you leave feeling enriched and rejuvenated.
Retreat programme
Each day will begin with meditation, breath work and a flowing asana class in the stunning yoga space. A bright and airy converted traditional stone barn with floor to ceiling windows to let the light stream in.
Morning practice will be followed by a healthy breakfast. Then you will be free to relax by the pool, or explore the stunning beauty of the surroundings.
A light buffet style lunch will be offered followed by free time before the group will meet again in the late afternoon for a second more restorative yoga session.
The classes will be suitable for all levels and yoga experience. There will be one yoga free day during the week and no yoga on travel days.
In the evenings, a delicious dinner created with local seasonal produce, will be eaten al fresco on warmer evenings as the sun goes down.
Things to do
You can choose to do as much or as little as you like. Simply taking the week to find deep rest and rejuvenation in this peaceful place.
Between morning and evening yoga there will be time to relax by one of the two outdoor swimming pools with stunning views over the rolling countryside. Or there are plenty of quiet corners and comfy sofas for relaxing with a good book. If you’re feeling more active there are bicycles, ping pong, boules and fields of flowers for long country walks.
Massage treatments can be taken with a local therapist, outdoors on warmer days for a full sensory experience with amazing views in the fresh breeze.
Trips out to the local towns with markets and vintage shops, thermal baths and wine tasting can also arranged. There will be one yoga free day for longer trips out.
Accommodation & food
Amassa offers four individual old stone cottages, all lovingly restored to keep the wonderful old French rustic charm, blended with modern comforts and furnished with locally sourced vintage finds.
There’s a mix of single, twin, double and triple room options all with their own ensuite bathrooms. Each cottage has its own lounge and kitchenette area as well as outdoor terrace and gardens beyond.
The deluxe rooms are more spacious with special touches. The deluxe double has a free standing bath and the deluxe triple is a one bedroom cottage with an open plan lounge and french doors onto the gardens. The superior rooms are beautiful with different views across the property. The standard rooms are comfortable and charming, just a little smaller or without the views of the the other rooms.
For meals, there are outdoor and indoor group dining spaces. A healthy breakfast, light lunch and delicious dinner will be served each day. Meals are vegetarian and prepared using fresh, seasonal and locally grown or homemade produce.
When you come to Amassa a community is created, living in its own little hamlet.
